The Adobe House - Adobe homes and adobe house plans - Adobe homes were constructed using adobe bricks. The adobe brick is made from mud and is generally 10”x4”x14”. The ideal adobe brick is comprised of 20% clay and 80% sand. These two materials are mixed together with water and then poured into a wooden mold. The mold is removed when the adobe brick is able to retain the form of the adobe mold and is left in the sun to dry. Click link above for full article.
